Udhagamandalam (TN): The police on Tuesday recovered
explosive materials, including detonators and gelatin sticks,
from a house and arrested one person in this connection near
Gudalur.
Acting on a tip-off, police raided the house of Subramani
at Keelnadugani, about 60 kms from here, and seized explosive
materials including 38 gelatin sticks, 18 detonators and 155
fusewires there.
Subramani was taken into custody as the explosives were
kept without valid documents, police said, adding he was
supplying them to people engaged in illegal mining,
particularly in Devala area.
