Rajahmundry: In the backdrop of over 14 people being killed in the
hooch tragedy in the district of coastal Andhra Pradesh,
efforts are on to impose the PD Act here, Maheash Bhagawat,
DIG of Police, Eluru range told reporters here.
Strict action would be taken against violators of the
Act, Bhagawat said.
He said special wing in the Excise Department was working
to control illicit liquor and Police Department would
cooperate with this wing in all aspects.
