Guwahati: Two NDFB militants were on Monday
killed in an encounter with security forces in Assam's
Kokrajhar district, police said.
Acting on a tip-off, a joint team of police and Army
raided Jhaisabari area in the district.
During the raid, the ultras fired at the security
personnel. In the ensuing encounter, which lasted for nearly
an hour, the militants were shot dead, police said.
An AK-56 rifle, two magazines, 57 rounds of ammunition, a
9 mm pistol, eight rounds of live ammunition and three mobile
sets were seized from the militants, they added.
