Patna: JD(U) leader and former MP, Vijay
Krishna, was on Wednesday chargesheeted in connection with the
kidnapping and murder of his aide and transporter Satyendra
Singh.
The police submitted the chargsheet against Singh in the
court of Chief Judicial Magistrate S P Singh under Sections
302 (murder), 364 (kidnapping in order to murder) of the IPC.
Singh was RJD MP from Barh in Bihar before he switched
over to the JD(U) at the time of last Lok Sabha polls. He was
abducted from here on May 23 and his body was found from
near the river Ganga at a place under Khajekala police station
here on June 11.
After evading arrest for over two months, Krishna was
arrested from Faridabad on August 21 and was lodged in the
high-security Beur jail on the outskirts of the state capital.
Krishna's son Guddu, also named in the case, is still
absconding.
