12th std student commits suicide in Salem

Salem: A 12th standard student allegedly
committed suicide in his house by hanging, fed up with his
father`s rebukes to him over a love affair.

Police said the boy, son of an autorickshaw driver at
nearby Maravaneri returned from school yesterday, went to his
room and locked himself inside. This morning they found him
hanging from the fan.

His father told police he had scolded his son for falling
in love with a girl, but he paid no heed to it.
