AIADMK govt transfers top level IPS officials again in TN

The newly elected AIADMK government on Friday continued its shake-up of the police force, transferring senior officials including IG (Intelligence) Shankar Jiwal.

Chennai: The newly elected AIADMK government on Friday continued its shake-up of the police force, transferring
senior officials including IG (Intelligence) Shankar Jiwal.

Jiwal has been transferred and posted as IG, Special Task
Force, an official release here said.

He will be based at Satyamangalam in Erode district. A
Alexander Mohan, IPS, the incumbent officer in the post is
transferred out, the release said.

G Dorairaj, IPS, Inspector General of Police, Civil
Supplies CID, Chennai is transferred and posted as Inspector
General of Police, Coastal Guard Security, Nagapattinam.

M Ravi IPS, Inspector General of Police, is posted as
Inspector General of Police/Chief vigilance Officer, Tamil
Nadu Co-operative Milk Producer`s Federation Ltd, Madhhavaram,
Chennai. Prateep V Philip, IPS, the incumbent officer in the
post is transferred out, the release said.

MC Sarangan, IPS, Deputy Inspector General of Police, has
been made Deputy Inspector General of Police/Chief Vigilance
Officer, State Transport Corporation Ltd, Coimbatore, with
headequarters at Erode.

K Periaiah, IPS, Deputy Inspector General of Police
is posted as deputy Inspector General of Police, Training,
Chennai, while Thiru R Thirugunanam, IPS, the incumbent
officer in the post is transferred out, the release said.

V Sithannan, Superintendent of Police has been made
Superintendent of Police, Coastal Guard Security, Pudukottai.
