Chennai: 490 airmen inducted into Air Force

Chennai: More than 490 airmen on Saturday were inducted into Indian Air Force (IAF) at a passing out parade held at Air Station in Avadi.

Air Commodore CS Havaldar, Air Officer Commanding, Air Force Station, Avadi reviewed the parade.
Of the 491 airmen inducted, 424 trainees are Automobile Fitters and 67 trainees are Automobile Technicians.

The best all rounder trophy was awarded to LAC Somveer of Automobile Fitter and LAC PS Negi of Automobile Technician respectively.
Group Captain J Manacherry, Commanding Officer, Mechanical Transport Training Institute, Air Force Station, Avadi was also present during the event.
