Coimbatore: A K Vishwanathan on Tuesday took charge as city Commissioner of Police from T P Sundaramurthy.
Vishwanathan was Chief Vigilance Officer of Tamil Nadu Newsprint Ltd at Karur before his new assignment as the police commissioner.
Sundaramoothy has been posted as IG, West Zone.
