Bangalore: A special court on Monday reserved its
orders in the disproportionate asset case filed against Tamil
Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa for August 12.

Judge B M Mallikarjuniah posted orders on the application
praying exemption from personal appearance, permission to make
written submissions and allowing for deposing through video-
conferencing to August 12 after conclusion of arguments by
Jayalalithaa`s senior counsel B Kumar.

Kumar had submitted that Jayalalithaa was preoccupied
with several official engagements and also in the ongoing
Budget Session of the Tamil Nadu Assembly.

Citing various cases which were being heard via video-

the court could avoid delay in the proceedings.
