DMDK functionary hacked to death in TN

Theni: A 30-year-old DMDK functionary of
Cumbum was hacked to death in an isolated place near Surulipatti temple in what was suspected to be consequence of disputes over money matters, police said on Saturday.

Police said the body of Chinnamurugan, Cumbum union Deputy secretary of the party, was found with hack injuries, police said.

In another incident a 35-year-old woman was found hacked to death near Cumbum today. Raja had told police that he had murdered his wife, suspecting her fidelity. Raja also attempted to commit suicide by cutting his throat and he had been admitted to hospital here.
