Coimbatore: An estate worker was killed by an
elephant near Valparai in the district on Sunday.
Police said the worker was on his way to the pump house
when a stray elephant attacked him. Though he was rushed to a
hospital, he succumbed to his injuries after some time.
It may be noted that three women estate workers were
trampled to death by a herd of elephants recently in the area
recently.
