Erode: Father of a seven-year-old girl was
arrested on charges of torturing the child, police said
on Saturday.
The girl was now undergoing treatment for the internal
injuries she sustained in the torture, police said here today.
Police said they received a complaint from the grandfather
of the child yesterday alleging the child was being harassed
and tortured by the kid`s father and four others.
The child was forced to do domestic works by her stepmother
and father, police said.
The girl`s stepmother and four others were absconding,
police said.
