Salem: A 40-day-old baby boy was on Wednesday, killed allegedly by his father, who smashed him against a wall, following a domestic dispute at Omalur in the district, police said.
Nitheeswaran (28) used to quarrel regularly with his wife Vanitha (21), whom he had married after she became pregnant, police said.
The couple had an argument this morning following, which Nitheeswaran allegedly smashed the baby boy against the wall, killing him on the spot, police said.
Nitheeswaran was arrested and booked on murder charges under section 302 of the IPC, they added.
