Madurai: Four persons, including the conductor of a bus were killed on the spot and 14 others injured when the bus collided with a cement laden lorry at nearby Sivarakottai on Wednesday.
The bus was proceeding from Tirupur to Tirunelveli and the lorry was on its way to Alankulam from Karur when the mishap occurred.
Under the impact of the collision, the first five rows of seats of the bus, including that of the conductor were crushed, killing them, police said.
Top police officials rushed to the spot.
