HC admits plea against AIADMK symbol on MGR memorial

Chennai: The Madras High Court on Thursday admitted a writ petition seeking to remove the ruling AIADMK's symbol of 'two leaves' from the renovated memorial of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M G Ramachandran subject to its maintainability.

Justice N Paul Vasanthakumar ordered issue of notice to the government and directed them to file counter within eight weeks.

R S Bharathi, DMK Legal Wing Secretary in his petition submitted that the government's decision to put up a symbol of a political party at a government property at the cost of the state exchequer to canvass and promote itself was nothing but "gross misuse and abuse of power" besides breach of trust and misappropriation of tax payers' money.

Chief Minister Jayalalithaa had on December 9 inaugurated the renovated memorial, popularly known as the 'MGR Samadhi' at the Marina Beach.

It is Gross Violation of all Democratic Norms. Jayalalitha Must be Ashamed of herself for the argument Navneethakrishnan presented in court.Why does she stoop this low levels .She must learn to have priniciples in politics. Jayalalitha is known for extravagance in conducting unworthy functions of inaugurations that would have been done by a lower grade officer himself But in this case what is the necessity for hasty unannounced inauguration of the renovated memorial The reason behind this is nothing but fear of courts order

All through She has been Uttering Falsehoods in Courts only it is a shame the Distinguished Judges seem to be Having Partial Blindness.Even when the Supreme Court wanted her to Act According to her Conscience ,a Thing which she does not have in her Dictionary for the Government Land Grabbig Case she jst Ignored the orders and returned the lLandto the Govt. If a Thief returns the Loot to the Owner Will the Honourable court set him Free.That is exactly What Happned in this case.I Wonder Why the Supreme Court which is very Clear when it comes to Issues of Jagan Mohan Reddy etc are Lethargic to this Woman. One Wonders whether Her Suitcases have Reached the Judiciary also Hence they are Unable to Act According to their conscious.
