Madurai: Madras High Court Bench here on Tuesday
disposed of anticipatory bail applications of former DMK
Minister I Periasamy apprehending arrest in a land grabbing
case after it was submitted that the complaint had been
withdrawn.
Justice R Mala disposed of the application after the
Government Pleader said the complainant himself had withdrawn
the case and no First Information Report was registered
against the former minister.
Periyasamy, a sitting MLA, had filed two anticipatory bail
applications apprehending that he would be arrested either by
the Kujiliamparai Police or Dindigul District crime branch
police in the land grab complaint.
