Madurai: A criminal petition has been filed in
the Madras High Court bench here by a Karur-based land owner,
seeking to register a case against DMK functionary Chinnasamy,
a former AIADMK minister, for allegedly threatening him to
sell a property in 2007.

Petitioner Gnanasekaran alleged that though he had entered
into an agreement with three persons for purchasing 7.8 acres,
Chinnasamy and others, including his son, obtained a sale deed
in favour of another person in 2008 after abducting the
vendors.

He said on November 17, 2011, he lodged complaint before
the SP, Karur. But police refused to initiate action against
the accused. Hence, he filed the present petition.

The matter is likely to come up for hearing next week.
