Udhagamanadalam (TN): A bandh called by Hindu Munnani protesting the attack on one of its leaders here by a 20-member gang for his alleged `hate speech` evoked a mixed response today as tension prevailed in the famous hill resort town.
According to police, Manjunathan, Nilgiris District Secretary of Hindu Munnani was waylaid and attacked by a motorcycle-borne gang last night, after the reported speech against some communities. He has been admitted to the Government Hospital in Coimbatore with serious head injuries.
