HMK cadres tear up Valentine day cards, stage protest

Coimbatore: Thirteen Hindu Makkal Katchi
activists were arrested today after they tried to stage a
demonstration against observing Valentine`s day tomorrow and
tore up some related greeting cards.
Police said the HMK workers were denied permission to take
out a procession or stage a demonstrataion, following which
they assembled near Red Cross building, raised slogans and
tore up some cards. they were then arrested.
