Inquiry into `swindling` of PF fund money

An inquiry has been ordered into alleged swindling of Provident Fund money of Sri Ramanathaswamy temple staff deposited with the Indian Bank.

Rameswaram: An inquiry has been ordered into alleged swindling of Provident Fund money of Sri Ramanathaswamy temple staff deposited with the Indian Bank here, officials said on Friday.

The quantum was being assessed, but it had been found that Rs.75,000 of one Ravi Sharma had been swindled. Besides five other employees had lost their money, they said.

The cashier of the nationalised bank and two employees of the temple were being questioned regarding the fraud.
