Chennai: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa on Monday removed senior leader and former Electricty Minister Natham R. Viswanathan from key party posts.
In a statement issued here, Jayalalithaa said Viswanathan was removed from the posts of AIADMK`s Organisation Secretary and the party`s communication group.
No reason was given for the change.
According to reports, the Income Tax Department was conducting raids in around 40 places, including Viswanathan`s residence in Dindigul, around 440 km from here.
