Chennai: AIADMK chief Jayalalithaa on Sunday said
the CBI should have searched the premises of DMK first-family
run Kalaignar TV only after "securing all records".

"The CBI ought to have raided Kalaignar TV and secured all
the records before making their suspicions public," she said
in a statement here.

She alleged that by following the practices set for normal
criminals, the agency gave enough time to work out escape
strategies.

The AIADMK supremo claimed that an overnight meeting held
recently at DMK headquarters `Anna Arivalayam` was attended by
party chief M Karunanidhi and his children M K Stalin and
Kanimozhi besides Kalaignar TV CEO Sharad Kumar and Advocate
General PS Raman among others. It went on till the next
morning "with all external lights switched off," she said.

She also claimed that "every conceivable bit of evidence"
was destroyed.
