Labourer shot at by landlord, hospitalized in TN

Coimbatore: A labourer was shot at and seriously injured by his landlord early Wednesday morning at Thudiyalur on the outskirts of the city for allegedly encroaching on his land and has been hospitalised, police said.

They said the landlord both of them frequently argued over the `enroachment` and reportedly not vacating it for the past 14 years.
Both had a wordy quarrel over the issue yesterday following which the landlord fired at the labourer from his country gun, badly injuring his arm.

Meanwhile, the landlord also got himself admitted to a hospital, claiming the labourer had assaulted him during the argument.
