Man bludgeoned to death as mute commuters watch Zeenews Bureau

Coimbatore: In a shocking incident, a man was beaten to death on a busy road in Tamil Nadu's Coimbatore.

The incident, which was caught live by a CCTV camera installed at a traffic signal by the city police, occurred on Sunday.

The man had picked up a quarrel with a four-member gang at a local pub. Later, when the man left the pub the inebriated gang members followed him. They first hit him with a two-wheeler and then beat him to death using stones.

What’s shocking is that none of the commuters on the busy road came to the rescue of the man; they just stood as a mute spectator.

The police have arrested all four members of the gang responsible for the gruesome killing.

Also, the incident occurred very close to a police station.

The victim was identified as 29-year-old Santosh, a painter.

cops dont have any role to play at the time of incident. the spectators who were watching do not have balls at all..they all can go and hang themselves. not worth living

it is not only in coimbatore, every place you come across the goondas like the four member gang, what to do , who can fight with people, if we citizens fight with them and even thrash them , they will not spare us and it will continue, for them that is the only work but we have lot of better things to do in life. only solution is police should not spare any of them and take strong action against all these people who form a mob right from school student to matured goondas , who are the rogues of the nation. once they are in mob each one of them will pose as if he is a big hero , unfortunately he does not realise minus the mob he is a zero

the incident which happened proves that “ we humans have become indifferent to others pain’. its so disgusting that no pedestrian even dared to take some action to save the victim or even to stop the incident which happened. this is not the first case. ? i agree with d.n.makhija’s comment. this is what is happening these days. who is supposed to be blamed for this change in human mentality the common man himself or the law. unfortunately only hand full of people dare to do take action against injustice happening . is this number enough from a highly populated nation like india?
