Karunanidhi on Thursday asked the medical fraternity to work with a
"humanitarian touch", saying money should not be the primary
consideration in this profession.
"You should not look at this just as a profession. You
should serve the people with a humanitarian touch and this
applies to all in the field of medicine," Karunanidhi said at
the 125th year celebrations of the government-run Kasturba
Maternity Hospital here.
Karunanidhi said medical professionals should work for
the welfare of the economically poor, and according to their
