Madurai: A Naxal state committee member,
absconding since 2008 after a TADA court issued a non-bailable
warrant against him, has been arrested at Thanjavur and
remanded to judicial custody, police said.

The `Q` wing, the special branch of Tamil Nadu police that
deals with extremist activities, nabbed him at the town
on Monday.

Police said Manivasakam, a member of a Naxal party`s state
committee, had close links with its politburo.

After his arrest in 2002, he had confessed to being just a
