Chennai: A college in Chennai has come up with a bizarre list of restrictions on girl students.
A photograph of a document titled 'Special Instructions For Girls' at the Sri Sai Ram Engineering College in Chennai has drawn criticism on social media.
As per the list, girls are restricted from, inter alia, wearing leggings, high heels, bringing chocolates inside the campus in large quantities, opening Facebook and WhatsApp accounts, talking to "boys".

However, the college has dismissed the list as fake.
K Maran, a professor of accounting at Sri Sai Ram Engineering College, has told HuffPost India that he was aware of such a photo and was outraged. "Somebody has copy-pasted our college's name on some random list of restrictions," he said, adding: "We are planning to take action against whoever has started this prank".
