Madurai: CRPF on Tuesday said Tamil Nadu is free
from Naxal menace and there is no need for any search
operation.
There is no Naxalite presence in Tamil Nadu and no need
for any search operation, Central Reserve Police Force
Director General K Vijay Kumar told reporters here.
He said CRPF had sought additional 100 acres for its
training centre which is coming up at Idayapatti near
Tirumogur in Madurai District.
Initially the training centre would come up on 50 acres.
The District administration had agreed to consider providing
100 more acre of land, he said.
