Plan to disrupt World Tamil meet foiled, four held

Four suspected Naxal supporters, who were planning to disrupt the ongoing World Tamil Classical Language Conference at Coimbatore, were Friday arrested from a village near the town, police said.



Dharmapuri: Four suspected Naxal supporters, who were planning to disrupt the ongoing World Tamil Classical Language Conference at Coimbatore, were Friday arrested from a village near the town, police said.

Acting on a tip off, a police team arrested the four from Hale village, seven km from here.

One of the arrested is an activist of People`s Democratic Youth League (PDYL), another district-in-charge of Anti Imperialists Movement (AIM) and the other two, workers of the
outfits.
All of them have been remanded to 15 days judicial custody, they said.
