Salem: Police are on the lookout for two teachers, a man and a woman, for allegedly sexually harassing students of a government higher secondary school at Veeranam in the district.

Police acted on complaints from parents about the male mathematics teacher and the woman Physical Education teacher and went to the school yesterday, but the two had managed to give them the slip.

Parents alleged that no action had been taken against the two despite repeated complaints to the Collector, Chief Educational Officer and police.
The woman had also allegedly collected Rs 30 each from 535 students last year with the promise to supply books but had not done so. This year too, she had reportedly collected some money, but returned it when parents complained.
