Rain delays PM`s aircraft and 12 others; diverts one

Heavy rains lashing the Tamil Nadu capital on Sunday resulted in the delay of 12 flights, including the Prime Minister`s special aircraft, airport sources said.

Chennai: Heavy rains lashing the state capital on Sunday resulted in the delay of 12 flights, including the Prime Minister`s special aircraft, airport sources said.

The departure and arrival of 12 flights to and from various cities were delayed due to the heavy rains, they said.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi`s special aircraft, which landed here, was delayed for about 40 minutes, they said.
Another private plane from Visakhapatnam, which was to have arrived here, was diverted to Bangalore, they added.
