Chennai: Janata Party president Subramanian
Swamy on Thursday announced appointing former IAS officer V Sundaram as National General Secretary (Ideology) of his party.
The Central Parliamentary Board (CPB) admitted Sundaram to
the party and he was expected to contribute towards the
party`s Hindutva activities.
`The party has decided to adopt an inclusive interpretation
of Hindutva for national renaissance as its strategy (and)
Sundaram is expected to contribute to the party in this
direction,` Swamy said in a statement here.
The CPB has also approved the appointment of `renowned`
Chandigarh-based advocate A P Jagga as National General
Secretary (Legal Affairs) with concurrent charge of the
Chandigarh unit of the Janata party, he said.
The party presently has five general secretaries, he added.
