Coimbatore: There would be 85 special
International invitees for the World Classical Tamil
Conference, beginning here from June 23.
These invitees and 15 persons, who will present special
papers, are special invitees of Tamil Nadu chief minister M
Karunanidhi and would each be provided with an exclusive
assistant during their stay in the city.
Hundred `perfect assistants,` who knew the complete
topography, history and culture of Coimbatore and Tamil would
be selected from Bharathiar University, either students or
faculty members, a meeting in this regard held at the
university campus said.
Devajothi Jegarajan, secretary, Public deparment of State
Government who spoke, said these assistants would be provided
necessary training to take care of the dignitaries.
The complete biodata of the special invitees would be
provided to those selected, so that they can understand their
likes and dislikes, Jegarajan said.
