Raman on Saturday submitted his resignation to Governor Surjit Singh
Barnala, ahead of the change of government.
In a letter to the Governor, he said he was tendering
his resignation from the post in keeping with the customary
practice of the office after change of government.
Resignation letters of the additional advocate
generals as well as various law officers of the government
have already been communicated to the chief secretary for
necessary action.
Meanwhile, government pleader Rajah Kalifulla and 37
other law officers tendered their resignations today to the
home secretary. They were appointed during DMK rule.
