The Tamil Nadu Assembly was Saturday adjourned sine die at the end of a week-long session.

Chennai: The Tamil Nadu Assembly was Saturday adjourned sine die at the end of a week-long session.

Speaker D Jayakumar adjourned the House after Chief
Minister Jayalalithaa wrapped up the session, in which the
Assembly debated on the motion to thank Governor K Rosaiah for
his address to the House and discussed issues, including the
Koodankulam nuclear power project and Thane cyclone relief.

Key events of the short session included presentation of
supplementary estimates for over Rs 8,000 crore and suspension
of Opposition Leader Vijayakant for 10 days following his
behaviour on the floor.
