Chennai: Most of the process including filing of nominations for the March 18 Sankarankoil (SC) Assembly byelection would be videographed, Tamil Nadu Chief Electoral Officer Praveen Kumar said on Saturday.

"Ten flying squads and static squads are in place to recover any illegal cash," he told reporters here.

Further, outsiders will be asked to leave ahead of polling.

Bypoll for the constituency was necessitated following the death of AIADMK minister C Karuppasamy last year and the ruling party and its archrival, DMK, have already announced their candidates.

Vaiko-led MDMK has announced it will face the polls while Principle Opposition party in the Tamil Nadu Assembly, DMDK, is also likely to field its candidate, making it a four-pronged contest.

Around 1200 polling personnel will be on duty in the 2.05 lakh voter constituency, Kumar said adding the number of polling booths had increased compared to the April 2011 polls.
