TN should be rid of Karunanidhi`s `evil rule`: Jayalalithaa

AIADMK chief Jayalalithaa Monday said Tamil Nadu should be rid of the `evil rule of Karunanidhi,` as the 94th birth anniversary of her mentor and former Chief Minister M G Ramachandran was observed across the state.

said Tamil Nadu should be rid of the `evil rule of Karunanidhi,` as the 94th birth anniversary of her mentor and former Chief Minister M G Ramachandran was observed across the state.

"Tamil Nadu should be rid of Karunanidhi`s evil rule.
We will not sleep until DMK is voted out of power," she said
in her address to party cadres after garlanding MGR`s statue
at the AIADMK headquarters.

She said it was only a `matter of time` before the DMK
was defeated in the Assembly elections, scheduled for May this
year, and "nobody can change that."
Jayalalithaa and Deputy Chief Minister M K Stalin, at
separate functions, paid tributes to the founder of AIADMK,
popularly known as MGR.
While she garlanded MGR`s statue at the AIADMK
headquarters, Stalin paid floral tributes to the statue at the
Dr M G R Medical University here.
