TN, WB, Orissa and AP CG, naval officials meet
These meetings are held every six months to promote synergy and cooperation between the maritime services at command level.
Chennai: As part of promoting synergy and cooperation between maritime services, senior officers of coast Guard and Navy from West Bengal, Orissa, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu on Wednesday met for a high level meeting here.
The meeting discussed enhancing interoperatability, and issues of common interest requiring deliberation, an official press release said.
The Command-level meeting at Coast Guard Regional Headquarters (East) was attended by Vice Admiral Sunil Lanba, Inspector General Satya Prakash Sharma and Chief Staff officers from Eastern Naval Command, Visakhapatnam and Coast Guard Region (East).
Such meetings are generally held every six months to promote synergy and cooperation between the maritime services at command level, the release said.
