Tributes paid to Nehru

Chennai: Country`s first Prime Minister, the late Jawaharlal Nehru, was Thursday remembered in the state on the occasion of his 124th birth anniversary.

Governor K Rosiah paid floral tributes to the leader`s portrait at Kathipara, where a statue of Nehru is also installed. State Ministers also paid floral tributes.

State Congress leaders led by TNCC chief B S Gnanadesikan also paid tributes to Nehru.
