Rameswaram: Two persons have been arrested in
connection with the murder of a AIADMK functionary near here, police said Thursday.
Police also seized the car used by the assailants to knock down AIADMK worker Sadhveeka Seelan near Uchipuli on August 2 midnight when he was returning home from his petrol station with the day`s collection. They had then hacked him in the neck before fleeing with Rs 35000.
Police managed to zero in on the gang last evening and arrested the two and also seized the money.
One person is still at large.
