Udhagamandalam: Two women were killed and 11 others injured when their van fell into a 100 feet deep gorge about 30 km from here on Sunday, police said.
The mishap occurred when the van was negotiating an hairpin bend on Kallatti-Palakkad road.
While nine injured are being treated at the Government Hospital here, two children, aged about six, have been referred to Coimbatore Medical College Hospital, police said.
The victims were returning to Perinthalmanna in Kerala, after visiting some tourist spots in Nilgiris district.
