Two running `people`s police station` arrested for extortion
Two persons allegedly running `people`s court` and `people`s police station` here have been arrested for intimidation and extortion among other charges.

arrested for intimidation and extortion among other charges.
Senthamizhkeerar and Lourdusamy were arrested on Sunday
based on a complaint from an official of a church in suburban
Adambakkam, a release from the suburban Police Commissioner`s
office said today.
The two had allegedly demanded Rs five lakh from Bosco of
St.Mark`s Church after he had expelled Lourdusamy and another
person from the institution for their alleged illegal
In his complaint, Bosco said Lourdusamy and
Senthamizhkeeraar had written to him saying they were running
”people`s court and police stations” and threatened to publish
and air wrong reports about him if he did not pay them Rs five
lakh, police said.
Lourdusamy and his associate had also allegedly threatened
Bosco with dire consequences, the release said.
While Lourdusamy had claimed himself to be ‘inspector of
Velachery People`s Police Station’ and reporter of a magazine
called `Needhiyai Thedi` (in search of justice),
Senthamizhkeerar claimed himself to be the `All India judge
for people`s court’.
The police release made it clear that no such
organisations were registered with the government and said the
two had been into extorting money from persons after
threatening them with `action`.
