Two TN ministers inducted in Jaya-cabinet

Chennai: A day after sacking two ministers, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa on Friday inducted two members into her ministry to fill their slots.

NR Sivapathy and N Subramanian were sworn-in as ministers with Governor K Rosaiah administering them the oath of office and secrecy in the presence of Jayalalithaa.

Sivapathy made a comeback months after he was removed and has been allocated the School Education and Youth Welfare departments.

Subramanian has been allocated Information Technology, divested from KA Sengottaiyan who is now Revenue Minister.

In the fifth rejig of her cabinet since coming to power in May last, Jayalalithaa had axed SP Velumani and SS Krishnamoorthy from the Council of Ministers on Thursday.

Velumani was holding the portfolio of Revenue at the time of his being dropped while Krishnamoorthy was Minister for School Education.
