Chennai: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa Thursday directed release of water from two different sources in Krishnagiri district from July 14 and 15 for irrigation, a move which will benefit over 17,000 acres.
Based on farmers` request, water will be released from Krishnagiri reservoir from Sunday and Kelavarapalli storage from Monday next, she said in a release.
