New Delhi: In order to revive its user base, the micro blogging site Twitter is all set to make a revolutionary change which eill help its users to compose longer messages.

Twitter on Tuesday announced that usernames and media attachments such as photos, videos will no longer count against 140-character limit for a tweet, according to Tech Crunch reports.

The company also omitted @names in the replies from the character count.

This change will help users to express and share more by adding images and GIFs in their tweets.

In its official blog post, Twitter posted that a new retweet button will also be added which will help users to retweet and quote their own tweets.

The social media giant assured the recent changes will help make Twitter the best place for live commentary, connections, and conversations.
