A city court on Tuesday granted bail to TDP legislator A Revanth Reddy, an accused in the cash-for-vote case.

Hyderabad: A city court on Tuesday granted bail to TDP legislator A Revanth Reddy, an accused in the cash-for-vote case.

ACB had arrested TDP MLA Revanth Reddy and two others on May 31 in connection the case.

ACB had arrested Reddy while he was handing over bribe of Rs 50 lakh to nominated legislator Elvis Stephenson to induce him to vote for TDP-BJP candidate in Telangana legislative council elections.

Revanth's two aides were also arrested by the ACB in a trap laid on a complaint by Stephenson.

A war of words had broken out between the two states after the cash-for-vote case, with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu alleging that his phone was tapped even as a total of 87 cases were registered by AP Police against Telangana CM and others.

However, Telangana government and ACB denied that the phones of Naidu and others were tapped.
