Hyderabad: Maharashtra Governor C Vidyasagar Rao was on Sunday felicitated by the Telangana government at a civic reception here.
ESL Narasimhan, common Governor of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, his ministerial colleagues and several other leaders were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Vidyasagar Rao, who hails from Telangana region, thanked the chief minister for the "civic reception".
He said he would speak to Maharashtra chief minister and also Union ministers on the issue of supplying Godavari river water to Telangana.
"I did not expect this honour. As I said, I did not know what was civic reception. I am thankful, not just to the Chief Minister but all of you, for this civic reception, for this honour," the Maharashtra governor said.
