Hyderabad: The toll-free number announced by Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for public grievances and complaints received more than 2,000 calls until this evening, the state government said.
The telephone number 040-23454071, announced by Rao during his visit to Warangal yesterday, received 2,534 calls until today evening, a release issued by his office said.
The number has thirty lines at present, but they are inadequate and another thirty lines would be added to it, the release said.
The government would provide SMS facility to the same number and would also try to set up an e-mail ID for people to send their complaints, the release said.
Announcing the number in Warangal yesterday, Rao had asked people not to pay any bribes for various benefits like housing.
Meanwhile, Rao held a review of his four-day Warangal visit today and sought expeditious completion of housing projects for poor people.
He also asked Warangal Municipal Commissioner Sarfaraz Ahmed to review the proposed textile park works in the city, another release said.
