Rome: Third seeds Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi advanced to the pre-quarterfinals of the ATP Rome Masters after getting a bye in the first round.
The Indian pair will take on the unseeded American combo of Sam Querrey and John Isner in the second round.
Querrey and Isner defeated Briton Jamie Murray and Swiss Stanislas Wawrinka 6-3, 6-4 in their opening round of the USD 2,750,000 clay court tournament.
