Bangalore: Poojashree Venkatesha of Mysore,
with an ITF ranking of 415, has been top seeded for the USD
10,000 ITF Futures event beginning at the Karnataka State Lawn
Tennis Association courts here from tomorrow.
According to the main draw released here today, Pooja, who
had won the title in the Delhi leg is followed by 470th ranked
Anastasia Malhotra representing Japan. While Isha Lakshmi is
seeded third, Keren Shlomo from Israel is seeded fourth.
Delhi's upcoming Sanaa Bhambri is seeded fifth. Sweta
Solanki, Shivika Burman and Treta Bhattacharya are the other
important Indian contenders.
The singles winner will take home USD 1,568 dollars, while
the losing finalist will pocket USD 980.
